Since 1892, Denver-area volunteers have helped the Denver Rescue Mission — including our employees and clients. Lighthouse is returning again this year as part of our volunteer service. Please join us!
We’re planning a half day of service at the Lawrence Street facility. We’ll take a tour of the operations and prepare and serve lunch for more than 100 homeless people. It’s a privilege to do this work, which supports the mission of changing lives for the better.
At the Denver Rescue Mission, we always meet people from all walks of life who are at different physical and spiritual points of need. Our team has found that a smile and kind word when sharing a meal can do wonders for everyone at the table.
Last year, 11 Lighthouse volunteers teamed to help. This year, we plan on being of service 10:30-1:30 p.m., Oct. 3.
The Denver Rescue Mission is the oldest, full-service Christian charity in the Rocky Mountain region. Thriving today as non-denominational organization, it offers an extensive range of services, including overnight shelter, transitional programs and career programs.
Even if you don’t cook, you can definitely help. Cutting up carrots or making a salad or just being an extra set of hands is all that’s needed — beyond an open heart. If you’d like to join us, please let us know by contacting us.
