What We Offer

Financial services to help meet your unique needs

But wait. First things first. To know where you want to go, it’s a good idea to know how you might get there. Here’s a general look at the process we use to help our clients chart a smart course. We:

Establish and define the client-planner relationship.

Our financial planners will explain their roles and responsibilities and yours. Because we’re big believers in transparency, they will tell you how they will be paid and by whom.  You and your planner will agree on a general length for your professional relationship and on how decisions will be made.

Gather information about you, including your financial goals.

You and your planner should mutually define your personal and financial goals; understand your time frame for results; and discuss, if relevant, how you feel about risk. We’ll gather all necessary documents before giving you the advice you need.

Analyze and evaluate your financial status.

Your financial planner will analyze your information to assess your current situation and determine what you must do to meet your goals. Depending on what services you have asked for, your Lighthouse financial planner might evaluate your assets, liabilities and cash flow, current insurance coverage, investments or tax strategies.

Develop and present financial planning recommendations and/or alternatives.

Your Lighthouse planner will cover our recommendations with you to help you make informed decisions. The planner should listen to your concerns and revise the recommendations as appropriate.

Implement the recommendations.

You and your planner should agree on how the recommendations will be carried out. For example, the planner may execute on your behalf or serve only as your “coach,” coordinating financial management with you and other professionals, such as attorneys or stockbrokers.

Monitor and make needed adjustments.

You and your planner should agree on who will monitor your progress toward reaching your goals. If your planner is in charge of the process, he or she should report your financial situation to you periodically and adjust the course of action when necessary.
